Overview of the program:

Periodically, IRCC invite candidates from the Express Entry pool who have proven experience in certain occupations, or who have proficiency in the French Language. The points required to be selected may be lower than those required for other draws due to the fewer number of candidates in the pool with French language skills.

To be eligible for an invitation under the French language proficiency category, you must:

• have French-language test results that show a minimum score of 7 in all 4 language abilities on the Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC)

• Have an active Express Entry profile and meet all requirements for Express Entry

• meet all of the requirements in the instructions for that round
